All SLMC registration fees are gazetted under the Medical Ordinance No. 26 of 1927 and its amendments. The schedule below reflects current gazetted rates. Contact SLMC to confirm the latest fees before making payment.

Fees are listed by registration category. All amounts are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR).

The preferred method. Pay securely using credit card, debit card, or internet banking through the MySLMC practitioner portal. Available 24/7.

Bank Draft / Cheque

Traditional

Payment by bank draft or crossed cheque drawn in favour of "Sri Lanka Medical Council". Submit with your application to the SLMC office.

In Person at SLMC

Walk-In

Visit the SLMC office during working hours (Mon – Fri, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm) to make payment and submit your application in person.

Non-Refundable Fees

All registration fees paid to SLMC are strictly non-refundable once the application has been submitted and processing has commenced, regardless of the outcome.

Fee Waivers & Exemptions

Fee waivers are not generally available. In exceptional circumstances, requests may be submitted in writing to the Registrar with supporting documentation for Council consideration.

Keep Your Receipt

Always retain your official payment receipt. It must be submitted with your application. SLMC will not process applications that arrive without proof of fee payment.

Annual Renewal Deadlines

Annual renewal fees are due by 31 December each year. Renewal after this date attracts a late payment penalty. Practitioners who fail to renew are treated as unregistered for the lapsed period.
